What changes when you have a baby....

One for the picture..

my children..my soul..

|
|
1.You finally stop to smell the roses, because your baby is in your arms
2. Where you once believed you were fearless, you now find yourself afraid
3. The sacrifices you thought you made to have a child no longer seem like sacrifices.
4. You respect your body ... finally.
5. You respect your parents and love them in a new way.
6. You find that your baby's pain feels much worse than your own.
7. You believe once again in the things you believed in as a child.
8. You lose touch with the people in your life whom you should have banished years ago.
9. Your heart breaks much more easily.
10. You think of someone else 234,836,178,976 times a day.
11. Every day is a surprise.
12. Bodily functions are no longer repulsive. In fact, they please you. (Hooray for poop!)
13. You look at your baby in the mirror instead of yourself.
14. You become a morning person.
15. Your love becomes limitless, a superhuman power.
16. You discover how much there is to say about one tooth
17. You finally realize that true joy doesn't come from material wealth
18. You now know where the sun comes from
19. You'd rather buy a plastic tricycle than those shoes that you've been dying to have.
20. You realize that although sticky, lollipops have magical powers.
21. You don't mind going to bed at 9 p.m. on Friday night.
22. Silence? What's that?
23. You realize that the 15 pounds you can't seem to get rid of are totally worth having.
24. You discover an inner strength you never thought you had.
25. You no longer rely on a clock — your baby now sets your schedule.
26. You give parents with a screaming child an 'I-know-the-feeling' look instead of a 'Can't-they-shut-him-?' one.
27. You take the time for one more hug and kiss even if it means you'll be late.
28. You learn that taking a shower is a luxury.
29. You realize that you can love a complete stranger.
- Being a mother is the most wonderful feeling that one could feel - something that only mothers knows....
I love you, Gabriel
I love you , Ines

Today is my 44th day of pantang, ..and I didn't wait much longer to "venture" out.. We went to PD for a short break and for sort of 'freshing' my mind..We brought Ines along and she didn't give me much fuss. It was a good break for all of us and Gabriel was so excited going on holiday with his baby sister..

INES KHADIJA SOLIANO
|
|
I was supposed to deliver on 18 Sept 2006...I had a placenta preavia stage 4 and my ob-gyn told me that unless a miracle happened, I will have to go through a c-section. I was devastated as I had psyched myself for a normal delivery..The placenta was nicely located at the top of the uterus in the beginning but by the 5th month, it started closing 80% of my cervix. Depending on the complications on the birth day, he informed me of all the worst case scenarios that can happen since I wanted to know the details so much. If the cervix is covered even further, and if the big blood vessels are cut, I will lose a lot of blood and will have to go through a 2 pt blood transfusion. Furthermore, if the bleeding is too much to contain, he will have to do a hysterectomy to save my life. Imagine my panic then.
I had 3 bleeding within a month and had to be admitted. When the final bleeding occured and it doesn't stop until the next day, my gynae decided to do the c-section and will discuss with the paedtrician as my baby might need to be put in PICU and ventilator or incubator or...gosh..i was so scared listening to all that... I was only 33 weeks then .
I was accompanied by my parents, my son and my mother-in-law..
The next morning on 31July2006, he came to me at 0930am and told me to get ready as they will do it at 1030 am..I was so panic as the nurses started cleaning me..
Having to wear that horrible robe and being changed onto stretcher after stretcher before I got into the operation room. And the operation room was freezing cold. The last thing I remembered was me asking my ob-gyn what if I don't wake up at all!! He smiled at me and told me not to worry. Next thing I know, I was waken up and they told me I gave birth to a lovely, healthy and beautiful daughter. I was so grateful and passed out again.
The operation took about 1 1/2 hrs . Ines came out of the first 10 minutes..When he had cut up my abdomen before making the last incision into the uterus, he found that the placenta had covered 80% of the area, So he quickly pulled her out and clamped down the major blood vessel of the placenta. Thankfully, I did not have to go through any blood transfusion or hysterectomy.
Ines was born at 1038am weighing 2.73 kgs..at 2pm my gynae came and told me that Ines was such a strong baby and her weight helps..She came out crying and breathing on her own!!..I cried and grateful to Allah..Gabriel was so excited as he is a big brother now...
By 3 pm,they brought Ines to me and she look so beautiful . But naturally, I couldn't carry her so they put her next to me on my bed and I could only stroke her with my hand. The moment I saw her, was the greatest moment in my life..she's a baby that we've been yearning for all these time..Now I can proudly say I have a son and a daughter..
My mum was so wonderful, looking after me all these while ..thank you,Ma..I can never repay you for that..
We were at the hospital for 5 days.Ines developed minor jaundice on the 3rd day but subside on the 5th day..
As I travel this journey as a mother, only a mother knows the feeling of seeing your newborn for the first time..
Here's some pictures of my Ines ..My hope and pray is that my children will turn out to be a wonderful human being to all mankind and to Allah..
..there goes my story..

Langkawi /LIMA show...
|
|
I was on leave..the original planned was just to lepak at home..but at the last minutes, decided to join my sister in Langkawi. We, first went to visit my other sister in Sg Petani ..,spent a night there and the next morning took a ferry at Kuala Muda to Langkawi.
Gabriel was extremely excited to ride the ferry. I was worried that he might get sea sick, but he was fine..
We decided to ride a cable car to the top of Gunung..something..(i forgot the name la..).It was really scary for me..my nieces and nephews was having fun, Gabriel, seeing his mom scared, decided to tuck his face under my arms..hehehee...
After such a nerve-wrecking (hehehee, for me .la) experience..we went to watch the LIMA airshow., Gabriel is soooo fond of helicopters and planes and ships ,etc...so this is the time for him to see a different type of the machines..he was, so happy and enjoyed it so much..
Here's a few pics of us...

Gabriel was soooo excited that he finally got to see London ..Looking at those flight attendants, reminded me of my hey day..i do sometimes missed those days..but, hey.,i have never regret not being one now..We reached London in the morning and the weather was so breeze and cool..We slept for the whole afternoon..I woke up and switch on the tv only to find out that London Underground and street was bomb by some terrorist..It was horror, okay...The hotel we were staying was just a few streets away from where the bus was bombed..It was chaos everywhere on tv. We, however..bravely still went out for some shopping and sightseeing..

It was Labour day and here we are off to Kuching. We were joined by my colleague (now ex-colleague), Intan and her family. We decided to try Air Asia, as they say..it's cheap and of course, you get cheap service..KUL-KCH flight was okay..but on the way back, the flight was delayed for 3 times !! and we have to wait at KCH airport for almost 4 hours!!..they, of course gave us a meal vouchers but it sucks!!..(sorry, Mr Fernandez).. . We get to visit our friend,Diana who live there..She brought us to Tebedu (not sure if it's correct) for some cheap stuff. The journey there took us about an hour with a very narrow and horrifying road. There's nothing much there but managed to buy a few telekung sembahyang which, im telling you..sooo cheap..
